I'm a complete convert. I loved this book when I was a child, and was so excited to order it for my iPad. 5 year old over and over and why it was ok. This book is well written and life during that period appears to be well researched but the characters did not come alive for me as they did in The Beginning of Spring. First, it's a great book which covers this period of 1913 to 1917, when the writer.
